NCPFC/DC16 MOU Waives SF's Back to Work Emergency Ordinance Requirement

San Francisco recently enacted a Back-to-Work Ordinance Emergency Ordinance temporarily creating a right to reemployment for certain employees laid off due to the COVID-19 pandemic if their employer seeks to fill the same, or a substantially similar, position previously held by a laid-off worker.

District Council 16 and NCPFC have agreed to a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that waives this requirement for contractors covered under the Master Agreement, stating that all hiring will be in accordance with the negotiated terms in the current Agreement.
